In Bad Dreams II: On Midnight's Wings
MDC-OSF So, here is the final product of the rework of MDC's original design. Again, this was a challenge to other willing artists to recreate thier own version of his original concept. This was my very, very FIRST stab a using watercolor... so, hopefully I didn't fuck it all up too bad!! Please, those of you who haven't seen MDC's orignal, or any of his works for that matter, CHECK IT OUT: Lines, by MDC: [link] "In Bad Dreams", by MDC: [link] Specail thank you to MDC for allowing myself, and other DA artists the opportunity to rework your design - I had a blast with this project! I'm making 1000 ratstencils for my room wooohooooo
With the watercolours the trick is to use waterproof india ink to do your grey wash and blacks, this way your colours come in a little brighter without soaking into the greys. I tell you what though man this is way way better than my last attempt at a real watercolour , my 1st looked like dog sh1t...

"I guess he picked a knife fight with somebody better?"
Good use of water colours.
I litterally thought to myself - "Now, there's no way in hell I could get the same depths of black and grey out of this watercolor paint as I could out of diluted washes of pen india..."
I'm very appreciative that you offered up the same advice that was nagging at me from the depths of my skull - thank you!!
